One advantage of in-person home tours is meeting the owners and other residents, hearing their stories and what they love about their houses and neighborhood. Not a good option when dealing with a pandemic! So this year we will give you that experience virtually through a series of short videos featuring Historic Concordia neighbors. Hear their stories and see what they love about their houses and the neighborhood.

As a special treat, we offer a recording of historian John Eastberg’s engaging presentation about the Beer Barons of Historic Concordia. This was the keynote event for our 2019 Home tour, available here for the first time. Check it out below.

Check out the full Neighborhood Tour including some 40 homes, written and spoken histories, photos, and 30 immersive 360° virtual tours.

There are a few videos and tours that aren’t quite finished. Check back in a week or two or better yet, like us on Facebook. Get notices when they are added plus all kinds of fun and fascinating news from Milwaukee’s most active historic neighborhood!

The HCNI Home Tour is the longest running neighborhood home tour in Wisconsin, a gift to the present in honor of our past. This year, historic isn’t just about our houses. It’s about our community, locally and beyond. So, find a quiet spot alone or with friends and pull up your screen. As always, it’s our honor to host/welcome you.

  • This is a “web app,” really just a website with a few app-like features to make a mobile experience more enjoyable without downloading a separate app to your phone. It performs just as well on a plain old computer. But if you are exploring the neighborhood by foot or car this web app will be a remarkably useful asset.

Donations That Make a Difference

Admission to recent HCNI Home tours has been $20 per person. This year, we are offering it at no charge, but request of anyone who can do so, to consider donating in any amount you can comfortably manage. All donations will be split between The Tandem Restaurant, which is providing meals at no cost to all in need, and to Neighborhood House, a safe and nurturing place for urban youth, families and seniors, and located in our neighborhood.
