The residents of Milwaukee's Historic Concordia love their
neighborhood. For 19 years, residents have invited the public to tour
their homes and see why they love living in this historic urban neighborhood.
You are invited to tour twelve homes, meet the residents and learn why the value of
our neighborhood is beyond measure.
The tour begins at the Tripoli Shrine at 3000 West Wisconsin
Ave, where free parking is available. At the Tripoli Shrine, present your
receipt from your online ticket purchase ($10) or purchase tickets the day of
the tour ($12). Select your favorite items from the silent auction and
place your bids before you get a treat from the pie and cake social. Find
a seat for Paul Jakubovich's presentation and learn about the neighborhood
architecture that you will see on the tour. Then, follow your map and enjoy the
wonderful homes of Historic Concordia. As you walk, enjoy the roaming barber
shop quartet and stop at Highland Community School for a full
chicken meal when you get hungry.
While this is a walking tour, a shuttle service will be
available beginning at the Tripoli Shrine and circulating throughout the
neighborhood from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Please email info@hcni.org
or call 414-297-9244 if you have any questions. We look forwarding to seeing you
on June 20th.
