Preserves The
Historic Character of The Area
Neighbors in the mid 80s formed Historic Concordia Neighbors, Inc. (HCNI). The
organization moved to set borders for a historically designated area and, with
the help of the City of Milwaukee's Office of Historic Preservation, began
working with owners to repair, restore and increase the value of properties.
Preserving the historic character of the neighborhood continues to be central to
keeping the neighborhood moving forward.
Encourages
Economic Development
HCNI is devoted to the economic development of our business corridors that are
central to the area's well being. We continue to promote sound development of
the area including new projects and renovations to our historic buildings and
sites.
